Linkedin Tips For Business Leaders to Build Brands

• Use this one simple strategy in your LinkedIn About section to get more leads...Convince them you’re worth it in the first sentence Think of it as your elevator pitch right out of the gate. Don’t be vague. Make them want to click the “see more” button.  The 1st sentence should include either problems you solve for a specific niche as an IC, what your passionate about OR What problem your business solves and for who.  Pique the audience's interest to want to read more.

• ​Use Linkedin's Blog Tool to create your own Blog on Thought Leadership Topics in your area of expertise that solves problems.  You can find this located on the Feed Page under the options when you make a post.  It makes it easy for you to be creative.

• ​The easiest way to generate content is…Curate it.  Find content from other sources and share ​your, your colleague and other influencers and industry leaders.  Add your insights based on your Industry Knowledge and your own perspective.

• ​​NOW you’ve got engaging content for your audience here are 3 tips to stop the scroll and grab your audience's attention with storytelling: 
  • ​Start with a strong hook.  You need to captivate their attention right away. Try starting with a surprising fact, catchy statement, or controversial question to pique their interest. ​​
  • Know your audience’s pain points Identify your target audience's pain points and use storytelling to address them. Lead with value, help them solve their challenges, then lead them to your solutions.
  • ​Be authentic and share personal stories and company stories that resonate with your specific audience of choice. Authenticity is key to building trust and loyalty. By strategically incorporating these 3 storytelling tips, you'll forge a deeper audience connection and effortlessly position yourself (and brand) as their go-to solution provider.

• Do you want to increase your Linkedin Connection base with meaningful connections rather quickly?  Here is some tips on how:
  • ​Don't just like someone's comment but repost it or comment on why you like the comment where you share your insights or knowledge.  Then include in your comment the @(person's name) so it hyperlinks and shows them you gave credit to them.
  • Look for problems that are posted on LI that you may know how to solve and add a suggestion or advice on how to solve it.
  • Join a group that interest you on Linkedin and chime in with comments on the post.

• Leave meaningful comments to help you increase your following and connections.  This means when you see a post that you have knowledge of or you are passionate about you leave a comment to acknowledge your appreciation for the person posting and your thoughts around it.  ​Now a couple of caveats with this as you want this to be strategic.
  • ​First you want to be sincere when you leave a comment.  Make sure it is something that you have knowledge about or really interest you and share that with the author as you like it.  People can sense when a person is not being authentic a mile away.
  • Second it doesn't take a lot of effort if you can even do two of these a day it helps you get recognize by so many people and become top of mind to them which in turn they will start to follow your content and then connect with you.
